About Us
The Cardiovascular Fellowship Program is based at Aultman Hospital in Canton, Ohio. It is a fully accredited, three-year training program.
Fellows will have the opportunity to work closely with Internal Medicine residents and be provided with variety and volume of clinical pathology to ensure a robust environment for outstanding training under the direction of committed faculty. You will have exposure to a wide variety of clinical pathology and patient populations that will prepare you to care for patients from diverse backgrounds. Annually, over 6000 echocardiograms, 300 transesophageal echocardiograms, 7500 stress tests, and 2500 cardiac catheterizations are done at Aultman Hospital. The facility serves as a referral center for STEMI patients for a large area, with patients air-lifted to the facility for STEMI care. This provides extensive opportunity for the fellows to be engaged in the hands-on care of critically ill patients beyond the average expectation. The training program may also be able to provide cardiology resources for rural, underserved locales.
The curriculum is designed to provide you with the best experience incorporating participation of research opportunities, ambulatory experience and the ACGME required rotations per each training level.
We are honored to train an outstanding group of two fellows per each training level year. These positions are highly sought after and competitive as we accept applications each year through ERAS.
